NMAAM would like to invite you to join its newest membership circle,

Legends Society.

The support of this distinguished group is critical to NMAAM’s efforts to ensure robust programming and educational exhibitions. Members of the Legends Society inspire others through their generosity and play a vital role in the life of the museum. They support our ongoing efforts to educate the world, preserve the legacy, and celebrate the central role African Americans play in creating the American soundtrack. The Legends Society recognizes committed donors who invest $25,000 or more to the National Museum of African American Music annual fund. This gift can be satisfied in one lump sum or paid over five years.

Distinguished Members

The Legends Society brings together distinguished members of society who will not only act as champions of NMAAM’s mission but reflect the diversity seen within American culture and African American music.

In recognition of your substantial investment in the museum, Legends Society members receive recognition in the annual report, exclusive benefits including:

  • Unlimited admission for up to two adults at the Influencer membership level,
  • Invitations to exclusive events, behind-the-scenes experiences, and
  • Other unique opportunities to engage with the museum and our mission.

The National Museum of African American Music will be the only museum dedicated solely to preserving African American music traditions and celebrating the influence African Americans have had on music. Although our building is not yet open, we have been operating as a “Museum Without Walls” for years. Over the years, the museum has provided educational enrichment for hundreds of Davidson Country Schools students, hosting monthly interactive community programming and honoring living legends such as Kirk Franklin, Nile Rodgers, and Patti Labelle. It is YOUR support that makes any of this possible.

Please consider joining this elite group of donors by contacting Kara Duke at kduke@nmaam.org or 615-301-8724 for more information and details.
