Dr. Jayda Coons
Administrative Assistant and Board of Directors Liaison
Jayda Coons is a writer, researcher, and Ph.D. in English at the University of Arizona, where she received her M.A. in 2014. Her writing has been published or is forthcoming in Women’s Rights: Reflections in Popular Culture and The Wilkie Collins Journal, as well as online by the V21 Collective and the Jane Austen Society of North America. She taught writing and literature at the college level for six years, and has worked with non-profit performing arts organizations as the Box Office Manager at Artifact Dance Project and the Box Office Assistant at The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre in Tucson, AZ. As a volunteer and advocate for educational access, Jayda has supported efforts at the Franklin County Literacy Council (as an Americorps VISTA Community Fellow), the Arizona State Museum, the Arizona Film Festival, and Scholarships A-Z. At NMAAM, she works alongside the development team.
