2016 Policy and Advocacy Think Tank

The National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) created the Policy & Advocacy Coalition to provide a unified voice designed to address challenges affecting the historical, preservation and future legacy of African American music, artists, industry professionals, cultural and trade organizations. Policy & Advocacy Think Tank is a FREE two-day summit during My Music Matters Week that brings together music enthusiasts and industry professionals to discuss the legacy, preservation and future of African American music. The conversations and information discussed during this inaugural Think Tank will be documented and published by NMAAM as a white paper resource for research, educational institutions, policy makers, organizations and journalists.
