Through fundraising to create the actual structure and by creating a team of experts who assist NMAAM to ensure the strength and weight of what the Museum will offer, we have the distinct pleasure to work with Councils committed to the success of this project. Learn about how we are cultivating opportunities to bring leading experts, industry leaders, award-winning artists and others who are assisting NMAAM move us forward.

Education Advisory Council

The Education Advisory Council is structured to provide strategic direction and advice regarding the museum’s educational programming and will be instrumental in shaping an educational model for the museum, as well as increase awareness for the museum on national and international levels.

Storyline Committee

In creating its storyline, NMAAM has worked with the nation’s leading scholars to compile the arc of an interpretive plan that will form the foundation of the museum’s exhibits. In so doing, the genealogy of American music emerged and the uniqueness of the story has become clear.
